Expect the unexpected.

I was suprised when I got home from the Halloween Party. I logged on to Facebook to check some photos of our bonding yesterday with my college freshman classmates, and to change my profile picture.
This surprised me:

Yes! I won on an online giveaway contest! I’m so happy! This was really unexpected! This quite made my day, after all the stress and hard feelings I had earlier today.

Quick Update: Hello Blog!

It's been 5 days since I've updated.

My life's kinda boring right now. There has nothing much that happened this week except yesterday and probably today.

I was with my college freshmen classmates yesterday at the mall. We just bonded with 3 babies! Yes! 3 of my mother friends brought along their cutesy baby dolls. Haha! They're so cute! They really look like dolls! I'll be posting our photos soon. As soon as I get the copies :)

Quick Update: Real Steel

I was out, practically the whole day, today. Went to school to have an appeal for my Production Management grade which turned out to be a good luck. We, 5 of us, were asked to do some 'social work' to work up our grades. Hooray! Not bad enough but it's so much work. Anyways.

Then I had lunch with Jan, watched Real Steel and bought two tops from Artwork (because Jan insisted that I should get the pigasus shirt cause it suits be. Yea, he can be a really persuasive sarcastic person) and went home.

Messy Bun

I’ve always wondered how to do a perfect messy bun. And yesterday, I scanning through my Tumblr archive and stumbled on this post on how to make one! I just realized I was just waiting for my hair to grow to do it. Obviously, I copied it and voila!

Quick Update: SSS

It's my Second Semester (Class) Schedule!

I was bored and I got JPS' schedule, then voila! I was so desperate to have together time with him. Since it'll be his last semester! He'll be graduating soon and I'm left at school. Shame.

Quick Update: Japanese Dinner; Beef Ramen

I had Beef Ramen for dinner! Made by me, of course, but I still want more! BTW, I made for two but I finished it myself. Hihi. Sembreak doesn't make you any good. It makes you fat!
Here's my sembreak routine:
Wake up. Net. Brunch. Net. Sleep. Net. Snacks. Net. Dinner. Net. Sleep. Back to start.
Anyways, tomorrow's going to be another exciting day for me! Fajtrick turns 68 months! Awwww. It's been so long. The more it lasts, the more I fall in love with him :"> cheesy!

Hello Sembreak!

It's officially the start of semestral break!!

I've got no proper plans, though. But I was thinking of enrolling for a Basic & Advanced Dressmaking Tutorial Course at JIB Career Center. I've been dying to learn how to make clothes!

Anyways, I was with JPS yesterday. We went thrift shopping at Chinatown... again! Haha! It's so much fun than shopping for expensives stuff! With just a small budget, we already had a lot! We got an Adidas Satchel (replica, of course) which JPS would rather call a Man-Purse than what it really is. We also got skateboard watches at super rock bottom prices! I love thrift shopping! Plus, we also got some DVDs and a disposable no-grade eyeglass. So fab!

The Skateboard Watches: Quiksilver & Vans.
The other Vans watch not on photo.

Quick Update: Sept-ender

I just had a great idea! I'm gonna start doing Quick Updates on my blog. That would be fun! I'll be posting small details about almost everything and anything. Random love :) so here goes my first! And this might be a long one. Haha! Ironic.

My September ended with a bang!

September 30
I only had one class that day, Agribusiness Management. We had a 30-minute quiz and after that was our final paper defense which was supposedly a quick 30-minute one but ended up an hour. Our professor was not quite satisfied and made us revise the paper--major revision :( but it's OK!

I spent the rest of my day with Jps. We went to the mall, had a quick meal at Port Cafe. Since we're seated in front of Beauty Credit, I can't help myself but sneak over the little Korean cosmetic shop and I ended up buying a pack of Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream samples! It's only Php99.95! Barely 20 for each sachet! A great bargain! I also had an eye on the Lioele Rich Pore Balm which I have a single sample sachet from my friend, Christine, but I never get to use it since I didn't know what that was for. But they said, it's a primer, covers all visible pores. I'm trying it soon!

Free Spirit Photoshoot

My best friend showed me my old photoshoot raw snaps last Friday. The shoot was way back in February this year. Photographer was Marion Uy and my natural make up was done by Christine San Pedro.

I totally forgot about this photoshoot not until Christine showed me the raw shots! I immediately copied them to my flash drive and started editing some of them. My hair's still short on the photos! I'm still fat and my thighs are still huge!

KFC + Beef & Cheese Casserole

Last Friday, JPS treated me at KFC! I had the Street-Wise Chicken Steak Meal, a bucket of KFC famous fries and Choco Banana Cream Spoonfuls. Not quite of a diet combo but who cares. Whenever JPS treats me, I forget about diet. Haha!

Drained Wednesday & Collages

Hello there!

I'm so drained today. Drained = tired, depressed.

I just discovered something and it wasn't good but wasn't that bad either. I need good vibes! Today was somewhat an incomplete day. Haven't seen boyfriend. We had a plant visit, but 'twas fun!

But since I got bored just now, I found these photos on my files and played with them. Collages! :)

This is what really happens when I say "making final paper!"

Stressful Tuesday

Stress was common to most of us today. Us, I mean, me and my classmates. Such a hassle waking up so early to finish a final paper which in the end is still subject for approval for schedule of defense... turns out, we won't be having a defense after all! Yes, our paper got rejected and we've spent so much time and effort on it... or maybe just time, not so much effort. But still...

So here goes... I woke up at 8am; showered, got ready and went to McDonald's to meet my groupmates so we could finish the paper. Then went to Anonymous (my classmate's apparel shop) to continue with the paper. Then, we went to school. Well, actually, I wasn't that much pressured since I've already conditioned myself that this is not going to work. I'll fail, I get it.

Long Weekend + Rowan Atkinson

Past days, I've been so busy with paper works and stuff for school. I so hate Finals... brings stress and all. But anyways, it has been a surprise that today's quite a holiday for us. Which means, this might be quite a long post.

Saturday, I was mostly at home doing stuff I wish I didn't. I wasted about almost my day lying in bed, watching movies I've already watched and read pages of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic Ties the Knot. I hope I can make a review on that one soon. I was out for a bit that afternoon, I was with boyfriend. He had his haircut at Lyka's. He had a semi-Mohawk with three stripes on the right to make it look cooler! But he still looks like an elementary kid with that fake innocent face. Haha! And here's a photo of him:

Something Borrowed & Something Blue

Recently, I have been fond of reading novels. It all started when a friend told me about this book, Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, which according to her was something extraordinary and very funny and exciting and many more and's... Then I got curious and started to read about few pages and then I loved it. She was right, the story was really good and I finished it in about almost 2 weeks since I was quite busy that time.

The story is about betrayal, best friends, engagement and the unexpected things that might happen in between. It's realistic and could really happen in real life. Rachel and Dex are law school friends who eventually got together, I mean together-together, behind Darcy's back, who is at that time, Dex's fiancee and Rachel's best friend. Then the engagement went off partly because of them and something else.

Hello Kitty Fold-able Water Container

Anything Hello Kitty is worthy of a blog post for me. I so love the cute big head kitty!

Yesterday, Jps surprised me with this very cute, very useful water container. It's kinda perfect since I need to bring with me water all the time because of my UTI diagnosis last week. This really made my day yesterday and I was like almost jumping of happiness when he handed me this! It's so cute! You can roll it and can even fit your jean's pocket! Awesome, right?

Feels like I'm graduating too...

Last Friday, I got my yearbook photos at New Jersey Studio since they were long over due... and I was shocked with my photos! Seriously. They're good... I mean, they're great! I so felt that I'm graduating this March too which is totally the opposite. Haha!

But since I was too happy with my pictures, I'm getting more copies. And I was too proud when my stylist, Deo, made my photo his wallpaper on her phone! So sweet of him!

Food Haul ♥

So, I've been at home for 2 days now. Got fever and colds... still under observation if this is dengue. Hope not! :(

Anyhoo, I've been digging my phone and I found these photos of food I love! And again, I'm sharing them to you! These are stock photos on my phone and these are just some of those I love. I wish to post all my favorites but I want to take photos of them on my own. So, hopefully, soon :)

FOOD NOT FROM DAVAO
Mama Cup Noodles from Thailand is one of my favorites when I was there a couple summers ago. It's super cheap and so yummy! My mom always includes this cup noodle whenever she sends a package to us here. Recently, my brother found out this was sold in one local mall here in Davao. But it's a bit pricey. In Thailand, it only costs us 20 Baht for one cup, equivalent to about 30 Pesos. That mall here sells one cup for 49 Pesos.
Vjandep Pastels are from Camiguin. Soft buns with yummy sweet fillings like Yema and Ube. A box, when bought in Camiguin, costs a bit lesser than the price here in Davao which is 155 Pesos per box. A box contains 6 buns to share!

Sunday with BFF (Bestfriend/Boyfriend Forever!)

I spent my Sunday with JPS. He had his yearbook pictorial at NCCC Mall. I'm thrilled, at the same time, nervous of the fact that he's graduating in March! I'll still be in school since I still lack a lot of units... I really mean a lot! Here are photos of us fooling around and some phone shots I took while he had his toga photo. I forgot to take his photo of the glam shots.

FAIL! I put pressed powder on his face and he got sweaty after... result? He looked like Espasol in the final photos! Gosh! >.<

Food Trip Day

I ate nothing else but pizza, fries and Oreo shake last Saturday! I was in school with my friends... They had some school stuff going on and I was just hanging out. Cool huh, I hang out at school! :)

I got hungry and so did Marion so we decided to eat at the cafeteria. And... Tah-dah! These are what I bought!

PIZZA + FRIES = THEFAJBELEN MEAL ♥

Black and Yellow

And this is another food blog post... because recently, I've been barfing more. Haha!

BLACK Gulaman
I never tried Black Gulaman before because I don't like the idea of a black gulaman. Haha. But it all started when my tongue got curious and tried it for the first time at Chowking. But I had this one at Dimsum Diner. It costs just below 50. No bad :)

Movie Marathon on an Exam Week

Looks like I'm going to have fun instead of dreading over books! Haha.
I bought a bunch of DVDs yesterday. They say these are the new ones. I'm so not updated with movies lately. I'm planning on watching them all before I go on hiatus this Sunday. I'll be on a 3-day retreat with my class. I don't really feel like going, though but I have to. Sad :(

Anyways, I have already read the novel Something Borrowed and I was just as excited to watch the movie! I watched it last night right after I finished my last 16 pages of the novel. Movie's great, nice. Though there are some omitted scenarios and some characters. They also altered some details but it's still great and I think I'll forever love it!

Steve Jobs Resigns as CEO

I just read the news on Twitter and I was like... what will happen to iPhone5? iPad3?

My questions didn't come unanswered though. He's still in Apple but as a chairman.. an employee. Sound good.. He's still there. What made me post this is somewhat another story. I read his wisdom.. still on Twitter and got me. Now, I'm sharing them with you.

Pocket-friendly Snacks

Hello there!
This is my very first post about food. I certainly think these heavenly tasteful pocket-friendly snacks deserve a review.

Last Monday, I went with my boyfriend to his suki parlor to have his hair cut since the yearbook photo shoot is just around the corner. I'm having mine this Saturday, I'll post photos. Anyways, after having his hair done, we walked our way to Victoria Plaza and we passed along the way of street food chains. There were a lot of food for grabs and this pinoy pancake caught my attention. They say it's yummy and super affordable! They were right and right about that :)

Henna Tattoo

Tattoo is my new fascination. Since it's Kadayawan, it's again, time for Henna Tattoos! Almost every year, I get henna during this local festival. I remember when I was in highschool, I had my first henna tattoo, it was the number 13 and a heart. My second one was an anklet tattoo, with floral and swirls design.

This year, I tried to be cute! Meet, Hello Kitty! :)

Halfway through 6 years

It's our day and we planned to spend the day together. Have our favorite french-fries afternoon. Unfortunately, I have to cancel and change plans since I still have to attend our booth at our school bazaar the whole afternoon :( but I ended up being a photographer for my friends at the Palarong Pinoy activities during the fiesta... it's the last day so all of us, 4th year students, had fun and gave our all!

We, Jan & I, ended up having dinner with his family. I so love the pancit they ordered from their favorite food delivery and the fried adobo is oh-so yummy. I just forgot to take photos of them. Haha! I was much enjoying the food!

Dumdum Day!

It's been a very tiring yet productive day for me... well, I guess, for everyone. It's the 63rd Ateneo Fiesta! Lots of activities happened and will be happening on the 3-day event which started today with a parade! It's my 3rd time to join the Fiesta Parade and I can say, this is the best!

Fourth year Entrep students had a booth at the Fiesta Bazaar at the school grounds. Me and my colleagues are selling our products like whitening soaps, shirts, bags, bracelets, shoes, food, food & food!! Yum! Yum!

BB Cream: The Wonder Make-up

I may be one of the people who can't live without the ingenious thing called BB Cream. It stands for Blemish Balm Cream, an all in one cream used as face make-up. The craze started in Korea then to Japan and soon more Asian women go loco over this handy make-up. BB Cream gives you flawless finish much like of a Korean's natural skin complexion. It is better than a foundation. Most BB Creams contain SPF to protect the face from the sun's harmful rays. It can also be used as an alternative to concealer. Some BB Creams cure acne and other face impurities, cover blemishes and dark spots, some even treat oily skin problems. It looks natural on the skin giving you an almost no make-up look. You can even retouch without any hassle unlike powder or liquid foundations.

Now, so much about this amazing make-up. Here's a list of my favorite-est BB Creams!

One-armed Jeepney Driver

It was not the first time that I rode this blue multicab Route 5 jeepney that passes by our school. But it was the first time that I was seated beside the driver. I was the only passenger that time so I had the chance to be at the passenger's seat. I was handing over my fare while the driver was steering the wheel. He reached for my fare and gave me change using one arm, alternately steering the wheel. It might be hard to picture out but it was like this: I handed the fare, he was steering the wheel, he reached for my fare, he was steering the wheel, he gave me my change, he was steering the wheel. He does this with just one arm. I didn't mind it at first.

If you love him, fight for him

Being in love seems to be the nicest feeling in the world, they say. But it only is the nicest thing when you share the feeling with the right one. Being in love makes you do crazy things and think crazy thoughts. I have been in love with one and the same boy for 5 years and counting. I've met him in high school. He is no Mr. Popular. He is no Mr. Good Looks. He is no Mr. Moneybags. He's simply himself, the reason I fell deeply in love with him.

The 5 years we've been together wasn't easy all the time, it wasn't happy all the time. Like what normal couples do; we fight, we make up. But what makes us unique from all others is we surely finds way to be okay in the midst of arguments, we don't usually go to bed hot-headed. We're normal, we're not perfect but we definitely are one of a kind. Our love for each other makes up for all the imperfections we have.
